Count Your Blocks Before You Build: Material Lists for Survival

Short answer: look at the full material list before placing anything, gather the biggest counts first, and tick each type off as you collect it.

1. Read the whole list

A cozy cottage, for example, needs about 256 blocks: 88 roof blocks, 66 wall blocks, 63 stone bricks, plus a few logs, glass and flowers.

2. Start with the big numbers

Collect the two or three block types with the largest counts first. They decide how long the build takes.

3. Tick off as you go

Mark each type when you have enough. You can see what is still missing at a glance.

4. Craft in batches

Turning logs into planks in one go is faster than crafting during the build.

5. Then build

With everything in your inventory, follow the steps without stopping to gather.

FAQ

How accurate are the counts in Cubeplan?

They are counted from the build itself, block by block, so they match exactly.

Can I check off what I already have?

Yes. Tap a block type in the material list to mark it collected; it stays saved for that build.

Should I gather a little extra?

A few spare blocks help if you misplace one, but the list is exact.
