Jogrise Privacy Policy

Jogrise ("the app") is a free app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us") that guides beginners from walking to running 5K with a 9-week walk–run plan, an interval timer with voice cues, streaks and badges. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us. The app does not use GPS and does not track your location or route.
Information stored on your device
Your plan progress, completed workouts, effort ratings, streaks, badges, reminder times and app settings are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes this information. Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Voice cues
Interval voice cues ("Run", "Walk") are spoken using the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. The app does not record or use the microphone.
Sharing
If you tap Share, the app passes a workout summary card or text to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. The app does not send it anywhere by itself.
Permissions
- Notifications — optional workout reminders and, while a workout is running, the timer status. You can decline; the app keeps working.
- Alarms / run at startup — to deliver reminders at the time you set and restore them after the phone restarts.
- Vibration / keep the screen awake — to signal interval changes during a workout.
- Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.
Jogrise does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, SMS or calendar access.
Advertising and information collected automatically
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications, in the widget, or on the workout timer screen). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. Your workout history is not provided to the advertising SDK. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Jogrise is a general fitness guide, not medical advice. Consult a doctor before starting a new exercise program.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your workout data and settings exist only on your device; you can reset or delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
