Misbaly Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-06
Misbaly ("the app") is a tasbih and dhikr counter provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us"). It lets you count dhikr by tapping the screen or using the volume keys, follow an after-prayer set, keep a daily history and count from a home-screen widget. Misbaly has no account system, no login and no server operated by us.
Information stored on your device
Your dhikr list (names, Arabic text, meanings and targets you enter), current counts, rounds, daily history, all-time totals, reminder settings and app settings are stored locally on your device. The app itself does not send this information to us, and we have no server to receive it. We do not ask for your name, age, phone number or email address.
Uninstalling the app deletes this information. Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Sharing result cards
If you tap Share after finishing a set, the app creates an image card on your device showing that day's totals and hands it to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. The app does not upload the image anywhere by itself.
Religious and personal content
Your dhikr names, notes and counts may reflect religious practice. They stay on your device as described above, are never read for advertising and are never used to target ads.
Permissions
- Notifications — optional morning and evening adhkar reminders. If you leave reminders on during setup, the app asks for this permission when you tap Start; you can decline, and you can turn reminders off at any time in Settings.
- Run at startup — to restore scheduled reminders after the phone restarts.
- Vibration — a short vibration on each count and a longer one at your target, which you can change or turn off in Settings.
- Internet / network state — used by the advertising SDK described below.
Misbaly does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, phone access or permission to display over other apps.
Advertising and information collected automatically
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your dhikr list, counts and history exist only on your device, so you can edit, reset or delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
