Padsort Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-15

Padsort ("the app") is a free app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us") that helps you clean up your phone's gallery in batches of 50 photos and videos, using remote-style buttons to trash, favorite, move to a folder, keep or postpone each item. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us.

Photos and videos in your gallery

With your permission, the app reads the photos and videos on your device (Android's media library) to show them to you one at a time. All reading and sorting happens entirely on your device.

Information stored on your device

The app stores, locally on your device: the IDs of items you have already sorted (so they are not shown again), your "Later" list, simple totals (number of items sorted, storage freed) and app settings. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Sharing

If you tap Share my progress, a short text summary goes to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. The app does not send it anywhere by itself.

Permissions

Padsort does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS or calendar access.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your sorting history and settings exist only on your device; uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
