Parkdrop Privacy Policy

Parkdrop ("the app") is a free app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us") that helps you remember where you parked: it saves your parking spot (location, floor, zone, note and an optional photo), reminds you before your parking time runs out, and points you back to your car. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us.

Location

When you tap Park here, the app asks for location permission and reads your current location while the app is open, to save your parking spot and to show the distance and direction back to your car. The app does not request background location.

• The app itself does not send your parking locations off your device, and we never receive them.
• The advertising SDK described below may collect approximate location derived from your IP address, as explained in that section.
• To show a street address, the app may use Android's built-in geocoder, which is provided by your device and Google.

Information stored on your device

Your parking history (location, address, floor, zone, notes, photos you take), timers, the Bluetooth car device you select and app settings are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes this information. Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Sharing and navigation

If you tap Share, the app passes your parking details to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. If you tap Directions, the app opens your map app with the car's location. The app does not send this anywhere by itself.

Permissions

• Location (while using the app) — to save your parking spot and guide you back.
• Camera (via your camera app) — optional parking photos; the app does not hold the camera permission itself, and photos stay on your device.
• Nearby devices / Bluetooth — optional; only if you choose your car's Bluetooth device, so the app can remind you to save your spot when it disconnects.
• Notifications — parking timer alerts and optional reminders. You can decline; the app keeps working.
• Alarms / run at startup — to deliver timer alerts and restore them after the phone restarts.
• Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.

Parkdrop does not request background location, microphone, contacts, SMS or calendar access.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your parking history and settings exist only on your device; you can delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
