Pilltray Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-16
Pilltray ("the app") is a free app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us") that works like a weekly pill organizer on your phone: you add the medicines, vitamins or supplements you take, get reminders at the times you choose, and tap a compartment to record what you took. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us.
Pilltray is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It does not give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your doctor or pharmacist.
Medicines and records you enter
The names, colors, doses, schedules, stock counts and the history of doses you mark as taken, skipped or missed are stored locally on your device in the app's database.
- The app itself does not upload this information, and we never receive it.
- The advertising SDK described below may collect information as explained in that section.
Sharing
If you share your medicine list or adherence summary (for example, to show your doctor), the text goes to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. The app does not send it anywhere by itself.
Backups
Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Permissions
- Notifications — to remind you when a compartment is due. You can decline; the app keeps working as a record.
- Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — so dose reminders ring at the exact time you set, not minutes later.
- Run at startup — to restore reminders after the phone restarts.
- Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.
Pilltray does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS or calendar access.
Advertising and information collected automatically
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. Your medicine names and dose history are not passed to the advertising SDK. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your medicines, records and settings exist only on your device and in backups you control; uninstalling the app removes the app's own copy. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
