Pupcount Privacy Policy

Pupcount ("the app") is a free dog expense tracker provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us"). You can log what you spend on your dog, record daily care such as meals, weight and vet visits, set care reminders, see monthly reports and a lifetime cost estimate, and keep savings goals. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us. The app works offline.

Your records

Your dog profiles, expenses, care logs, reminders, savings goals and settings are stored locally on your device.

• The app itself does not upload your records, amounts, notes or dog photos, and we never receive them.
• The advertising SDK described below may collect information as explained in that section. Your records, amounts, notes and dog photos are not passed to the advertising SDK.
• If you pick a photo for your dog, the app uses Android's photo picker and keeps a resized copy inside the app's own storage. It does not request access to your photo library.
• If you export a backup file or an expense CSV, or share a monthly summary, the content goes only to the location or app you choose through Android's file picker or share sheet.
• Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Permissions

• Notifications — care reminders you set (for example a heartworm pill or vaccine) and an occasional nudge to log spending. You can decline; the app keeps working.
• Run at startup — to restore reminders after the phone restarts.
• Vibration — for reminders, if you turn it on.
• Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.

Pupcount does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone/call access, SMS, calendar, photo library or storage permissions, or permission to draw over other apps.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Cost estimates

Lifetime cost figures in the app are estimates for reference only, based on your own records and published averages (Rover 2025 Cost of Dog Parenthood; KB Financial Group 2025 Korea Pet Report). They are not financial advice.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your records exist only on your device and in backups you control; uninstalling the app removes the app's own copies. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
