Quitstack Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-09
Quitstack: Sobriety Counter ("the app") is a free app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us") that counts the time since you quit one or more habits, lets you take a daily pledge, log urges and celebrate milestones. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us.
Information stored on your device
The habits you track, their start dates, relapse records, daily pledges and reflections, urge logs (intensity and optional notes), your reasons for quitting, cost/time settings, reminder times and app settings are stored locally on your device. The app itself does not send this information to us, and we have no server to receive it. This information can be sensitive; it stays in the app's private storage on your phone.
Uninstalling the app deletes the information stored in the app. Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Sharing
If you tap Share, the app creates an image or short text about your milestone and passes it to the app you select through Android's share sheet. The app does not send it anywhere by itself.
Permissions
- Notifications — morning pledge, evening check-in and milestone reminders. You can decline; the app keeps working.
- Alarms / run at startup — to deliver reminders at the time you set and restore them after the phone restarts.
- Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.
Quitstack does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or calendar access.
Advertising and information collected automatically
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Not medical advice
Quitstack is a self-tracking tool. It does not provide medical treatment or diagnosis. If you are dealing with withdrawal symptoms or a crisis, please contact a healthcare professional or local emergency services.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your records and settings exist only on your device; you can delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
