Riddlit Privacy Policy

Riddlit ("the app") is a free riddle game provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us"). You solve riddles level by level by building the answer from letter tiles or picking from choices, and get a new riddle every day. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us. The riddles are built into the app and work offline.

Your progress

Your level stars, saved riddles, hints, daily streak and settings are stored locally on your device.

• The app itself does not upload your progress or answers, and we never receive them.
• The advertising SDK described below may collect information as explained in that section. Your answers and saved riddles are not passed to the advertising SDK.
• If you share a riddle or a result, the text goes to the app you choose through Android's share sheet.
• If you use "Report riddle", your email app opens with the riddle filled in; nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself.
• Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Permissions

• Notifications — today's riddle in the morning and a streak reminder in the evening. You can decline; the app keeps working.
• Run at startup — to restore reminders after the phone restarts.
• Vibration — for reminders, if you turn it on.
• Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.

Riddlit does not request your device location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, photos or calendar access.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your progress exists only on your device and in device backups you control; uninstalling the app removes the app's own copies. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
