Sumroll Privacy Policy

Sumroll ("the app") is a free tape calculator provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us"). Every calculation you enter is kept as a line on a paper-style tape, where you can add a memo to each line, edit any line and have the totals recalculated, save tapes and share them. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us. The calculator works offline.

Your tapes

Your tapes, line memos, tape names and settings are stored locally on your device.

• The app itself does not upload your calculations, amounts or memos, and we never receive them.
• The advertising SDK described below may collect information as explained in that section. Your calculations, amounts and memos are not passed to the advertising SDK.
• If you share or copy a tape (as text or CSV), the content goes to the app you choose through Android's share sheet or to your clipboard.
• Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Permissions

• Notifications — occasional reminders. You can decline; the app keeps working.
• Run at startup — to restore reminders after the phone restarts.
• Vibration — for reminders and key feedback, if you turn it on.
• Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below.

Sumroll does not request phone/call access, contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, photos, calendar access or permission to draw over other apps.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your tapes exist only on your device and in device backups you control; uninstalling the app removes the app's own copies. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
