Treatcue Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-28
Treatcue ("the app") is a free dog clicker and training app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us"). It plays a clicker sound when you tap, offers step-by-step training lessons, and keeps a simple log of your training sessions and streak. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us. The lessons and sounds are built into the app and work offline.
Your data
Your dog's name (if you enter one), training sessions (lesson, number of clicks, duration, your rating and optional note), daily click counts and settings are stored locally on your device.
- The app itself does not upload this data, and we never receive it.
- The advertising SDK described below may collect information as explained in that section. Your dog's name, sessions and notes are not passed to the advertising SDK.
- If you use "Share with a friend", only a short text about the app goes to the app you choose through Android's share sheet.
- Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Permissions
- Notifications — for optional morning/evening training reminders. You can decline or turn them off; everything else keeps working.
- Run at startup — to restore reminders after the phone restarts or the time zone changes.
- Vibration — for an optional vibration when you tap the clicker, and for reminder alerts.
- Internet / network state / advertising ID — used by the advertising SDK described below. Some permissions declared by Google libraries (for example a foreground service used by system components) are not used by the app to read personal information.
Treatcue does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone call access, SMS, calendar or photo library permissions, or permission to draw over other apps. The clicker only plays sounds; it never records audio.
Advertising and information collected automatically
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget, and never on the training session screen). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your app data exists only on your device and in backups you control; uninstalling the app removes the app's own copies. You can delete individual training sessions from the Log screen. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
