Wantboard Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-16

Wantboard ("the app") is a free wishlist app provided by DDJ B1 ("we", "us"). You save products you want from any store, organize them into lists and decide later whether you still want them. It has no account system, no login, no subscription and no server operated by us.

Lists and items you create

Your lists, saved items (links, titles, images, prices, notes, priorities and waiting periods) and settings are stored locally on your device.

Product links

When you paste or share a product link into the app, the app requests that web page directly from the store's own website to read its public title, image and price. That request goes only to the website you chose, like opening it in a browser; we do not operate any server in between and do not receive the link. Product images are loaded from the store's website when displayed.

Sharing and backups

If you share a list, the image or text goes to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. Backup files you export are saved where you choose. Android's standard app backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Permissions

Wantboard does not request your device location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS or calendar access.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob inside the app only (never in notifications or in the widget). Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. Your lists and items are not passed to the advertising SDK. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your lists and settings exist only on your device and in backups you control; uninstalling the app removes the app's own copy. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
