Saved as you answer

Close the app or press back halfway through and nothing is lost. Tonight's review picks up where you left off.

One question per screen

Big Yes and No buttons stay in the same place, so you can answer with one thumb in a dark room.

Spot check in 30 seconds

What happened, what came up (resentment, fear, selfishness, dishonesty), my part, and the next right thing. As many a day as you need.

Send it to your sponsor

Share any night or spot check as plain text through the messaging app you already use. Nothing to unlock first.

Patterns, not scores

No percentage grade every night. See how often each question was a yes over 7 or 30 days, and which feelings keep coming back.

Write your own questions

Turn the default questions on or off, reorder them, or add your own for any 12-step fellowship.

Gratitude and a plan for tomorrow

End each night with three things you are grateful for and one thing you will do tomorrow. The plan shows up in the morning.

Private by default

No account, everything stays on your phone, optional 4-digit PIN lock, and a backup file you can export.

FAQ

What is a nightly inventory?
A short review of your day before you go to sleep: were you resentful, selfish, dishonest or afraid, do you owe anyone an apology, were you kind, and what could you do better tomorrow. Many people in 12-step recovery do it every night as part of working steps 10 and 11.
Will I lose my inventory if I close the app halfway?
No. Hushten saves each answer the moment you tap it. If you get interrupted, open the app again and tap Continue.
Do I have to pay to send my inventory to my sponsor?
No. Sending a night or a spot check as text is part of the app from day one.
Does Hushten give me a score every night?
No. Many people find a nightly percentage judgmental. Hushten shows patterns instead: how often each question was a yes over the last week or month.
Can I change the questions?
Yes. Turn questions on or off, change their order, or write your own. Past nights keep the exact questions you answered.
What is a spot check inventory?
A quick check you do during the day the moment something bothers you, instead of waiting for the night. Hushten asks four things: what happened, what came up, my part, and the next right thing.
Is Hushten an official AA app?
No. Hushten is an independent journaling tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Alcoholics Anonymous or any 12-step fellowship.
Does it need an account or internet?
No account and no sign-up. Your journal stays on your phone and works offline.
