Clicks on touch, not on release

The sound plays the moment your finger lands, from sounds already loaded in memory. Timing is everything in clicker training, so the click marks the right moment.

Loud and clear, 8 sounds

Classic, sharp, soft, double, wood, whistle, chirp and bell — all at full volume so your dog hears them outdoors. A note appears if your media volume is low.

15 lessons, none locked

Basics, everyday manners and fun tricks, each in 4 short steps with one thing to watch out for and a clear sign of when to move on.

Steps right above the clicker

Start a session and the current step sits on top of the clicker, so you can read, click and treat without hunting through menus.

No ads between clicks

The training session screen has no banner and no pop-ups. Nothing interrupts the moment you're trying to mark.

Rate each session

Needs practice, Getting there or Nailed it. Three great sessions mark a trick as learned.

Streak, calendar and learned tricks

See your day streak, sessions this week, total clicks and every training day on a monthly calendar.

FAQ

Why doesn't my dog react to the clicker?
The click has no meaning until it is paired with treats. Start with lesson 1, "Click means treat": click, treat within a second, 10–15 times, before asking for any behavior.
Is a phone clicker as good as a real clicker?
For timing, yes — Treatcue plays on touch-down with no lag. It also lets you change sounds and volume, and it is always in your pocket when you forget the handheld one.
Are the lessons really all open?
Yes. All 15 lessons and all 8 sounds are open to everyone. Treatcue is supported by ads outside the training screen.
Will ads pop up while I'm training?
No. The training session screen has no ads at all. Ads appear only on other screens, such as after you save a session.
Can I use it for cats or other pets?
Yes. Clicker training works the same way for cats and many other animals: pair the click with a treat, then click the behavior you want.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, and your training log stays on your phone.
How long should a session be?
Short: 3–5 minutes, once or twice a day. Stop while your dog is still keen.
