- Ads pop up while I am in the typing page. Does Typestride do that?
- No. Typestride never shows ads during a test or on the result screen, so your test and your result are never lost to an ad.
- Do I lose my results when an ad comes after typing?
- No. The result card shows the moment the timer ends and every result is saved to your history automatically.
- Does it work without internet?
- Yes. Tests, lessons, passages and history all work fully offline. There is no server to go down for maintenance.
- Does it check small and capital letters?
- Yes, case sensitivity is on by default, so typing a lowercase letter where a capital belongs counts as an error. You can turn it off.
- How is my typing speed calculated?
- WPM = (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ minutes. Only correct characters count, and the app shows this formula on the result.
- Can I use it on a tablet with an OTG keyboard?
- Yes. Typestride rotates to landscape and works with external Bluetooth, USB and OTG keyboards.
- Is it good for beginners?
- Yes. The 12 lessons start with the home row and add a few keys at a time, with a target speed for each lesson.
- Can I practice in my own language?
