Swiped it away? Read it again.
Notitrail keeps a notification history on your phone. Dismissed an alert by accident, or someone deleted a message before you opened it? The text you received is still in your timeline.

Notification log
Every new notification is saved with the app, sender, full text and time.
See deleted messages
If a chat message is deleted after it arrived, the text you received stays in your history.
Apps, then conversations
Group chats and 1:1 chats are kept apart, so a busy group never buries a private message.
Search by one word
Find by app, sender or message text, with Today / 7 days / 30 days filters.
Open the original app
Tap an entry to jump back to the source app when possible. Copy, share or delete a single entry.
Recording you can trust
A status card shows whether recording is on. If the connection drops, Notitrail tells you and helps you reconnect.
Light on battery and storage
Keep history for 7, 30 or 90 days, or forever. Old entries are cleaned up automatically. No permanent status bar icon.
No subscription
Every feature is free from day one. No weekly plan, no paywall. Light, dark or system theme.
FAQ
- I dismissed a notification by accident. Can I read it again?
- Yes, if Notitrail was recording when it arrived. Open the timeline or search one word from it.
- Can I see deleted WhatsApp or chat messages?
- If the message showed up as a notification before it was deleted, the text you received stays in Notitrail. Photos and attachments are not saved.
- Can it recover notifications from before I installed it?
- No. Recording starts the moment you allow Notification access. Nothing from before can be recovered by any app.
- Will installing it delete my existing notifications?
- No. Notitrail does not touch notifications already on your phone.
- It never saves notifications. What is wrong?
- Usually the system disconnected notification access or battery optimization stopped the app. The status card on the timeline shows this and walks you through reconnecting.
- Is there a subscription or a paywall?
- No. Every feature is free and the app is supported by ads.
- Does it drain battery or fill storage?
- It only writes text when a notification arrives, and you choose how long to keep history so old entries are deleted automatically.
- Are my notifications uploaded anywhere?
- No. History is stored on your phone only, with no account. You can exclude apps, delete one entry or wipe everything.
Guides
Notitrail is free and supported by ads. Notification access is used only to save the notifications you receive; history stays on your phone. Only notifications that arrive after you turn on access can be saved.
