FAQ
- Does it tell you the word when you don't get it?
- Yes. When you run out of tries Wordawn shows the answer right away with a short meaning. You never have to watch an ad or spend coins to see it.
- Can I play previous days?
- Yes. Open the Archive tab, pick any past date and play its four puzzles.
- Is there more than one puzzle a day?
- Yes. There are four daily puzzles (4, 5, 6 and 7 letters) and an unlimited practice mode.
- Are the answers real everyday words?
- Answers are common English words with a dictionary meaning. Your guesses are checked against a large English word list.
- What do the colors mean?
- Teal is the right letter in the right spot, gold is in the word but in another spot, and slate is not in the word. A high-contrast orange and blue option is available.
- How do repeated letters work?
- Each letter in the answer is only matched once. If you guess two E's and the word has one, only one E is colored and the other is slate.
- Can I play with a friend?
- Yes. Make a challenge code from your own word and send it; your friend enters the code to play it.
- Does it need an account or internet?
- No account. The word lists are inside the app, so it works offline. Ads need a connection to load.
