FAQ
- Why doesn't my birthday reminder show up?
- Usually battery optimization or a denied notification permission. Wishnote reschedules reminders after a restart; allow notifications and set battery to Unrestricted for the app.
- Can I import birthdays from my contacts?
- Yes. Any contact that has a birthday field filled in can be imported with one tap. Nothing leaves your phone.
- Can I import Facebook birthdays?
- No. Facebook no longer lets apps read friends' birthdays. Add them to your contacts or enter them in Wishnote directly.
- I got a new phone. How do I keep my birthdays?
- Export a backup file in Settings, move it to the new phone and import it. Backup is free.
- Do I have to enter the birth year?
- No. Leave the year out and Wishnote just reminds you of the date without showing an age.
- Can I get reminded a few days early?
- Yes. Pick the day, 1 day, 3 days or a week ahead, and set a different lead time for each person.
- Does it work offline? Is there an account?
- It works offline and has no account or server. Your dates stay on your phone; only ads need a connection.
- Is the widget readable?
- Yes. The widget is large, with names and days left in big type.
